Cereal Kick

This morning Thomas came into my room to talk to me and have me help him with his train while I was still "sleeping." He opened the book of Mormon on my nightstand and when I asked him to put it back he said, "I wanna read it." He then opened it up and said, "And it came to pass dik a dik a dika Jesus. The end." Well I finally "woke up" and got us both breakfast. Thomas chose Chex and so I went along with him. When I put our bowls in the sink there were three cereal bowls before it. Knowing there are only 3 of us eating solid foods in our household you may find this interesting. This is the second morning in a row Thomas has gotten up with John and had cereal, and then had cereal with me an hour later. The fifth bowl was my "midnight" snack. Mmmm. Grandpa

Today I drove down to central Utah and spent the day with family for my Grandpa's funeral. It was a beautiful day, with flowers, humorous stories, and friendly faces. Finally I am beginning to remember some of my Mom's cousins names and faces, as well as some of her Aunts and Uncles. I've decided that I like funerals because of the opportunity to share and learn more about the deceased person's whole life. The stories, experiences, and jokes that were shared helped me to appreciate the loving faithful man my Grandpa was and is and to remember and believe that he lives in Heaven and continues to live beyond this life.
