THE MEANEST MOM BLOG and GIVEAWAY!

Okay, So due to popular request by my #1 and only follower, I'm going to feature my favorite blog today! The Meanest Mom blog. It is a blog I love because of its humor and reality. Plus the fact that it's about kids generally adds to it's entertaining value and applicability. Today she is having a swimsuit giveaway hurray! And since I want to win, I'm linking to her blog today. Here it is!

I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause

You can tell March is still rushing in like a lion when you wake up and look at the weather outside, and "5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" flees your thoughts soon to be replaced by "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause."  Yesterday it was 50 something degrees by the afternoon which isn't too warm, but I can appreciate 50 any day when today it's been 31 degrees now for hours. I'm not complaining, I'm just asking, Christmas anyone?  All gifts accepted.

I must not dust enough...

I must not dust enough because today as I was waving my nifty lamb's wool pouf ball-on-a-stick around T-bird was giggling the whole time!  As if to say, "Mom I have never seen you do that before, it's so silly.  In fact why are you wiping the Piano with it?  Or the TV?  Hahaha. . . this is great!"  Let me tell you I was rethinking my cleaning habits.  It must have left a big impression because my meditations have led me to my blog rather than to my shower... Okay, I realized that I haven't blogged T's birthday party because I don't have the pictures of the cake, then I realized that I DO have the pictures of the cake.  So view the pictures of the cake below.  Enjoy! Oh, and I have bad news. . .  We have not been doing our push-ups.  I thought you would make a great fan club but sadly, evenings are not convenient for me and alas, I have no motivation without Mr. Wilson so here I am weak armed typing this to you weakly.  Just wanted to catch you up on that. ...

Blogging

I'm behind in my blogging, I can't deny it.  I have blogs to read, entries to write, and new ideas to brainstorm.  I know I haven't finished up blogging the first birthday, play-dough cookies, or even our Christmas tree give-away, and yes we finally found a home for the tree, grrr. So here's to blogging. Ode to my Blog My dear blog you are a part of me you live and breathe my breath. I hear your inner voice nagging deep within my conscience  and not so deep on other days. You ask me for news you beg for rare humor You revel in photographs. I love you. I hate you. I never know what to say to you- you are such a small part of me There is so much you do not know about me and I'm afraid to tell you. Here you post on the edge of the abyss that is the web  of eyes catching  in the internet of lines and strings  of words and pictures. My voice runs along those lines  for people- mere acquantances to snatch them up and laugh at them. You think you are impressive but you hav...

60 push-ups and counting

For the record, Mr. Wilson only did 2 more pushups than I did last week!  Woot-woot.  So far so good.  And if you're feeling jealous, today's the perfect day to start a pushup training routine ;)  http://hundredpushups.com/ How is it that just when you think your husband would be shipwrecked on the seas of life without you he surprises you by being a lifesaver?  Of course I wouldn't be doing pushups without him, but I'm referring to much bigger fish: baby sleep.  We all know it's a challenge to figure out a young one's sleep schedule and make it happen.  At 13 months T-bird doesn't sleep on-the-run anymore.  And who puts him to sleep at church two Sundays in a row?  Dad.  And when Mom is completely exasperated by night wakings who says, "Oh- there's lots of ways I can put him to sleep. . . " ?!  Dad.  And who actually does it?  Dad.  It's incredible.  T-bird is now enought back-on-track sleeping that I don't anticipate any Daylight Savi...

Oh the wonderful things Mr T can do...

T bird has been honing his skills so that I would have something to tell you about.   Here are some new developments mixed with some older but still impressive new ones. He can (and does) fake laugh fake cough fake cry (oh oh oh) climb down stairs walk on uneven grass- so fun hide silently bark like a dog say lots of words like where'd it cracker go? and Hi hi hi hi hi daddy hi sign "more" leap from the chair to the couch jump off the bed and land on his feet offer breazy showers open dresser drawers and deliver daddy's clothes all over the house swallow mac'n'cheese whole give closed mouth kisses!
