Disclaimer: This is my personal record of Spencer's birth. It is the short version, and don't be fooled it is not short. Leaving I knew around 1 or 2 am that I could go to the hospital, but decided I could also wait a little longer, and I didn't say anything. Then when I said, "do you think we should?" to Joanne she said, "Yes" and was all about making that happen right then. We arrived at the hospital just after 3, so it was probably a quarter 'til when we left. She said she would follow John and I over and we loaded up the car. I had a contraction on Main Street and it really hurt and I was pretty worried about having more but the second one I pushed on the roof of the car, and it tucked me into my seat and wasn't so bad.
