Please hold your applause to the end- Thomas has something he would like to share. Actually he doesn't believe it and perhaps neither will you but we are expecting a baby brother for him at the end of this year. You may, however, agree with John that it is a baby sister, in fact, and not a baby brother. But whether he or she is a he or she, we shall see most likely in the first week or so of November. More details to follow as they present themselves. Welcoming another baby into the family is fun and exciting for our little family, and having supportive and loving parents, siblings, and grandparents makes it that much more special to us knowing that we have your loving encouragement, friendship and examples for our children as they grow up. We are excited for our kids to have cousins and friends in the family that they can have special connections with, and we can't wait to see you again!

Christmas Tree

So . . . the Christmas tree is gone. We don't know where it went. Or when it went. Sorry in case you wanted to adopt it. If you have any information on it's whereabouts feel free to comment.

Waiting for Cookies

Well Thomas was upset so I thought I'd cheer him up by making him cookies. I told him how awesome it would be and he got all excited and happy but when I put the dough in the oven he was confused. Why couldn't he have the cookies? He tried to open the oven door but unfortunately/fortunately he's a bit too short. So you can see the progression from anxious lip-licking to mournful sobs. 8 minutes is an eternity. Next time I'll tell him about the cookies once they're cool. Or just give him a popcicle.

Primary!

This may be my first post about church, which makes me laugh because every Saturday I remorsefully review the days activities and the truth that I will not, cannot, or choose not to prepare my stuff for church until Sunday morning before it begins. Then, each Sunday morning I run around like a chicken with it's head cut off trying to figure out what I need, and how I can get it out the door as fast as possible. Once this is accomplished we're off to church. The second and third hour of church I spend with the children 3-11 years old doing singing time in which I teach them new songs and hope they remember the words so we can perform them for their parents in a beautiful and not-too-embarrassing manner. As you know, children love to wiggle and giggle, and chat when they get together if not worse things that involve projectiles, tears, and or possibly children actually getting out of their seats. (can you imagine such a thing?) So it may come as no surprise to you that we hav...

My Boys

To My Boys, You make my life worthwhile every day with your forgiveness, compassion and humor. You have beautiful smiles, or should I say smile? I can only comprehend small parts of my love for you at a time. It's too big for me to keep inside me so part of it is oozing out into the kitchen. When I think of what you deserve I know I can do better, and that PBJ's should be a thing of the past... I hope the summer is good to us so I can spend it with you outdoors. Thanks for letting me be me, and for helping me find out who that is. I'm glad to have the best-of-the-best. Love, The Girl in your life

Can you believe it is APRIL?!

I was thinking about writing a poem for this new month but I didn't want to because I don't want to ALWAYS do that, and then I thought, when was my last month poem, two or three months ago? But no, November. That was six months ago. In other words, time flies! My baby is 14 months old going on 15. Soon to be in nursery. Wow. Okay, here is my April poem: APRIL A pple-green avalanches of prairie grass waving anxiously add amiable Spring view P leasing pleasant people's gaze as they patiently prance down the walk and R oam radiant ranges, reading, raking, and reveling I n the intermittent isolated invariable breezes L azily leafing little Lilies along lofty lakeshores.
