When Thomas asked me if Dr. Seuss had kids right out of the blue today I thought probably, right? I don't know. So I asked Thomas what he thought and he said yes. He continued, "I think he had kids and they drew the pictures. He added that Mrs. Dr. Seuss probably helped as well.
Well I looked him up and Dr. Seuss's wife was unable to have children. He actually made some up! Chrysanthemum-Pearl is one of them for whom he dedicated a book, To Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street. I was also surprised to learn that one year for Christmas he and his wife Helen took a picture with the neighbor kids and sent it to friends and family as their "kiddies."
I guess you learn something new everyday.
